Bertram- who studied in Bubonia getting some sort of information or has a plot to infect the other fields so that the brothers could "come to their rescue at a price" or just dominate the market

Don't need to kill the brothers, but could absolutely destroy their barnstead though
Shortly after Egg left, thralls began to grow out of the fields instead of the crops
